TESOL International Association, a professional organization dedicated to “advancing the quality of English language teaching through professional development, research, standards, and advocacy,” will be hosting a webinar on December 5, 2018 about the unique learning needs and experiences of English Language Learners in early education.
“ELs in the Early Years: Focus on High-Quality Teaching Practices for PreK-K” will discuss developing national and research policies regarding ELLs, review cognitive and language stages of development that “inform teaching practices for young children,” as well as high-quality teaching strategies for ELLs under the age of six. Karen Nemeth, Ed.M., will be hosting the event.
